Serving
At First Baptist, we take seriously the command to serve one another in love. There are countless ways that members serve one another as they individually minister to each other through the context of the church and home. Listed below are some of the specific corporate ministries that take place at First Baptist Church of Hamburg.
Welcome Center & Ushers
When you first come to our church, we invite to you stop by our Welcome Center. This ministry is designed to reach out and serve those who are guests and want to know more about our church. Also, if you need any assistance while you are here, our ushers are here to serve.
Nursery
Our caring nursery staff seek to provide a clean and safe environment for newborn and toddlers during our main worship services. During our AM worship service, we offer an infant nursery for those 0 – 24 months and a toddler nursery for ages 2 – 3. Our Sunday and Wednesday night services also have a nursery for children ages 0-2.
Deacon Caring Ministry
Although we seek to love and care for each person who attends our services, we believe that we have an additional responsibility to care for those who have united with us in membership. The term “deacon” means “servant.” Our deacons seek to serve the members of our church as they pray and care for them.
Minute Women
This is a dedicated group of women who seek to serve the church family by providing meals for those in need. These meals include providing funeral luncheons for families belonging to our church, providing meals to shut-ins, new mothers, or others with various health needs.
Ladies Missionary Fellowship
This group of ladies seeks to minister to the missionaries our church supports. They meet on the second Tuesday of every month to gather updates and pray for the missionaries. They seek to encourage and assist them in a variety of ways.
Builders’ Club
This practical ministry is for those who like to work on building projects. The Lord has gifted many people with talents and abilities that help us maintain our building.
